TYPES OF ANIMALS

Here are fives different types of animals on Earth. These five types are: Mammals, Birds, Fish, Amphibians, and Reptiles. (If you look at the bag of each type of animal, there is a little button where you can click to see more things about it)

Mammals can live in a variety of environments, from sea, to land, to the air. All mammals are warm-blooded animals. Mammals usually give live birth instead of laying eggs, and for the most part the babies' nurse.

Like mammals, birds are warm-blooded animals. They all have wings and feathers, and most birds are able to fly. Birds lay eggs instead of giving live birth. There are over 9,000 species of birds.

Fish are unique from the other four types of animals by begin the only animals to only be able to breathe underwater their entire lives. All fish not only have this in common, but they also all lay egg, have scales and fins.

All amphibians lay eggs in the water. When these eggs hatch, the young have gills and  breathe water. As these amphibians grow older, they begin to grow legs and lungs and begin living on land instead of in the water.

Reptiles are all cooled blooded which is why they all have dry scales and lay out in the sun when possible.Most reptiles lay eggs, while other give birth to live young. There are 6,800 species of reptiles.
